Visit of CTA - President Dr. Lobsang Sangay, PhD, Harvard Law School
Dr. Lobsang Sangay (བློ་བཟང་སེང་གེ་) , President, Central Tibetan Administration visited Himachal Institute of Dental Sciences, Paonta Sahib and interacted with the students and staff.
Dr. Lobsang Sangay is a first ever tibetan to receive S.J.D. degree from Harvard Law School for his PhD dissertation "Democracy in Distress: Is Exile Polity a Remedy? A Case Study of Tibet's Government-in-exile". Dr. Sangay is a recipient of the Yong K. Kim's 95 Prize. In 2005, he was appointed as a research fellow and promoted to senior fellow till early 2011 at Harvard University.
He talked about importance of developing self-confidence, interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and determination, to be a successful leader. He also spoke about his journey from a remote area of Darjeeling in northeast India, to Harvard University and then to Central Tibetan Administration.
